The Parent-Child Interaction (PCI) Feeding and Teaching Scales are valid and reliable measures that allow professionals to assess both the dyad’s strengths and vulnerability. Learn new observation skills to transform your view of the parent-child relationship.
The scales are used clinically and for research. They contain a well-developed set of observable behaviours that typically occur within the context of a feeding situation and/or teaching encounter.
The scores on both the Feeding and Teaching Scales show a significant correlation with the child’s subsequent measures of cognitive abilities.
