The Feeding and Teaching Scales are valid and reliable measures that:

• Allow professionals to assess both the dyad’s strengths and vulnerability. 

• Learn new observation skills to transform your view of the parent-child relationship.

• Are used clinically and for research.

• Contain a well-developed set of observable behaviours that typically occur within the context of a feeding and/or teaching episode.

• Scores on both Scales show a significant correlation with the child’s subsequent measures of cognitive abilities.
